The pilot phase provided important validation of the Benchmark methodology and helped identify areas for refinement ahead of publication. The wet-processing Benchmark values were assessed as appropriate based on the pilot results, supporting their use in the published version of the tool.

For dry processes, the pilot findings supported a conservative adjustment to the energy and emissions intensity figures. These updated figures were reviewed by the Technical Review Committee before publication of version 1.1.

In collaboration with Made2Flow, 3,533 process and material combinations for v1.1 were verified, including 2,531 combinations added through equivalency mapping, 29 new process classifications, and 51 new fibre-blend combinations.
