Apparel Impact Institute (Aii) focuses its grant funding on helping suppliers reduce emissions where it matters most: on the factory floor.
Through the Climate Solutions Portfolio (CSP), we support suppliers that are testing and validating decarbonization solutions that reduce energy demand and prepare facilities for electrification.
Our Deployment Gap Grant (DGG) builds on this by helping suppliers implement proven solutions that are ready to scale but face financial or technical barriers, such as long payback periods.
Together, these grants are designed to move solutions from pilot to deployment, enabling faster, supplier-led decarbonization at scale.

Solutions Maturity Level
The data presented for CSP Grantees and Registrants will differ according to each solution’s maturity level. Grantee solutions, which are often less mature, are required to show a strong case for the solution’s effectiveness. Registered solutions, which are more mature, must provide tangible evidence that the solution delivers the expected effectiveness.
Below we have outlined the maturity definitions and how this relates to the data:
Pre-seed
Definition:
Solutions that are at a concept level and in the process of evaluating and establishing their impact potential.
Pilot
Definition:
Solutions that are in the process of testing their solution in order to demonstrate a proof of concept.
Model
Definition:
Solutions that are working towards de-risking and reducing known barriers to scale.
Scale
Definition:
Solutions that are commercially viable with a proven go-to-market strategy.
