The Aii benchmarking tool provides a global framework for apparel brands and manufacturers to measure, compare, and improve their energy and GHG emissions performance. Developed collaboratively with industry experts, it enables credible, data-driven climate action across the textile supply chain.
The tool assesses the energy use and GHG emissions performance of textile manufacturing facilities, with a current scope of spinning, weaving, knitting, wet-processing (including garment washing), and garment manufacturing. Unlike existing tools that report aggregated factory data, it allows the calculation of process-level performance, distinguishing between vertical and non-vertical facilities.
This approach provides tailored, quantitative indicators that help identify efficiency gaps and improvement opportunities, supporting continuous progress toward decarbonization.
