The Benchmark Calculator can be accessed through two formats: the Excel-based workbook and the Digital Platform. Both formats are based on the same underlying methodology and are designed to help users assess facility energy and emissions performance against tailored benchmark values.

The Excel-based workbook provides a downloadable version of the tool, allowing users to enter the required facility, production, energy, and emissions data directly into the spreadsheet. The Digital Platform provides a more guided online experience for data submission, review, and result interpretation.

Access to either format is governed by the Benchmark Terms and Conditions. Under these terms, users are required to return the relevant input data and benchmark results to Aii. This data supports the continued validation, refinement, and improvement of the Benchmark methodology and database, while remaining subject to the applicable confidentiality and data governance requirements.
