Guided by our criteria of effectiveness, reach, and scale, we leverage data to identify solutions that stand to make a meaningful carbon reduction in textile production. We use this portfolio of solutions to help suppliers create customized decarbonization plans, implement programs, and secure financing for improvements.

Whether it’s limited, unstandardized data or just not knowing where to turn for guidance, we know the apparel industry is facing massive barriers to reaching its carbon reduction goals. Aii tackles these challenges by using data and the criteria of effectiveness, reach, and scale to identify solutions that have a tangible impact on GHG reductions. These vetted solutions are highlighted in our public registry: the Climate Solutions Portfolio (CSP).

Measure

Our work is data-driven. We ingest, analyze, and report critical data to help our partners track their progress and move closer to their targets. Most importantly, we share aggregated data and insights to enable others to learn from our experience. AII’s CLIMATE ACTION APPROACH

Aii’s Climate Action framework is designed to put the industry on a collective action roadmap to factory decarbonization. The process consists of the five steps listed in the adjacent diagram.

Our products and services

Benchmark: Carbon tech assessment

We conduct an analysis of a facility's greenhouse gas emissions across its operations - to identify reduction potentials and the facility’s level of maturity.

Target setting: Carbon target setting

Based on CTA data, facility’s establish measurable carbon and water targets, reducing emissions by a set percentage, a baseline year as well as a supporting 3-5 year action plan that includes energy efficiency, renewable energy and thermal solutions.

implementation: Aii climate solutions portfolio and programs

Leveraging our registry of vetted decarbonization solutions, companies select and implement those that fit. The registry includes Aii programs (e.g., Clean by Design) and CSP solutions that meet our high standards for effectiveness, reach, and scale.

carbon target monitoring: Carbon inventory, action plan

Aii provides ongoing support to facility’s as they implement their action plan, refining the plan as needed and offering regular touch points, progress follow-up, and technical assistance.

Data validation

Data validation, critical for supporting carbon accounting, is in the conceptual phase. We’re collaborating with industry stakeholders to align on principles, ensuring accurate and reliable carbon data.
