Implementation Plan

Vertical Facilities: After installation & training, Smartex will work with the factory to run a Supply Chain Efficiency pilot where both Smartex Inspected Fabric and Non-Smartex Fabric are compared across knitting, dyeing & garment production. This helps demonstrate the full efficiency benefits & vertical factory ROI.

Non-Vertical Facilities / Fabric Mills:
After installation, Smartex calibrates its systems to document and analyze defects in current factory production for at least one month. The process then moves into the pilot phase, activating product features including automated machine stoppage when faults are detected (based on factory quality settings), automatic fabric grading, & inspector training to optimize Smartex utilization for faster inspection processes. Following the pilot phase, Smartex conducts comparative analysis of pre- & post-implementation data to demonstrate the business case for expansion.

All clients will receive comprehensive training materials & monthly progress reports, supported by ongoing customer service.

The Challenge

Ekoten, part of the innovative Sun Tekstil Group based in Izmir, Türkiye, uses Smartex to push their market leading quality to reach new heights. Through the implementation of Smartex's real-time AI inspection technology, Ekoten achieved an 80% reduction in kilograms of defective fabric production. After an initial purchase of 10 systems, Ekoten now has 17 machines enhanced with the Smartex System. On average, Smartex stops 20 high-impact continuous defects from occurring per machine per month. As a result, Ekoten prevents over 4.5 tons of raw fabric being produced each year. By detecting defects early in the production process, Ekoten eliminates the costly ripple effect of defective fabric moving through the supply chain and prevents unnecessary processing in their dyehouse.
