This solution reduces GHG emissions as it removes the dyeing in water bath and excessive dye wash off process. Instead, dope dyeing is possible by adding color-masterbatch during conventional yarn spinning, and optical color-mixing on industrial weaving machines.

Amphico will optical color-mix 10 primary colors dope-dyed yarns with varying combinations to develop 8000 colors. Initial prototyping will assess if the hand feel, aesthetics, and properties meet brand standards. It will then scale to industrial weaving in Japan and Taiwan. The 8000 colors will train a machine learning model to refine color predictions

Amphico will begin by developing its primary colored yarns. It will then weave color samples and develop develop 8,000-10,000 colors as woven fabric. 10-12 colors will be tested in scaled production in three facilities followed by a mass manufacturing trial.
