For fashion to get serious about the decarbonization of its supply chains, industry players must get to grips with electrification and hone in on low carbon thermal energy sources. A new report commissioned by the Apparel Impact Institute (Aii) and authored by Global Efficiency Intelligence has quantified the levelized cost of heating for different technologies such as electric boilers and heat pumps, across different time frames and geographies to ascertain their potential for electrification.
